The Divine State of Illinois

Illinois was the 22nd state to incorporate in the US on December 3rd, 1818. This State carries the 6 vibration, creating another oasis of balanced life, peace and stability. This land is intended to be a great place for families and those that prefer a quiter life.

We have yet another Sagittarius State, with the Sun, Mercury & Mars in this sign. As I contemplate why so many states have been founded under the Sagittarius sign, I feel there is a distinct energy within the US as a whole that urges freedom and expansion beyond the mundane. There is a sense of longing for more out of life than the hustle and grind culture. States like Illinois seek this type of greater purpose, a connection to a higher power, and also a grand love of adventure.

Illinois' Moon is in Aquarius, aligning with Pluto's current transit. I feel a deep activation going on for the collective here that wants them to break free from all systems of control, and regain their power as a people and community. This land seeks a different way of life outside of the mainstream. However, this State also has Venus and Jupiter in Capricorn, so there is this sense of wanting to go about the traditional way, and to focus on success, business and achievement. There are great innovative business and ideas that may come out of this State, as exemplified by this being the State where the first McDonalds was opened!

This land also carries Saturn, Pluto and Chiron in Pisces. These sibling states that share this stellium have a deeply spiritual and karmic energy. There is something to look at and heal here, and its in the realm of delusion versus reality. There may be a sense of turning a blind eye here, in order to keep the peace and balance. Maybe there is an expansive perspective that allows the collective here to dream big and reach for stars, yet its ignoring what is so obvious. Those that live upon this land are asked to truly connect with their Spirit, and to assist in energy work by clearing any ancient wounds around spirituality, persecution, or disconnection. There is corruption here that can only be cleared through forgiveness and discernment.

Illinois is the first State to have its North Node in Aries, which means it completed its Nodal Return in 2025. With this warrior Destiny, this collective is called to stand in their power and to demand change. They are called to walk the talk and take bold action to protect their sovereignty, and to also pave the way as an example for other States. We also see how this North Node can bring violence to the State, perpetuated by the Pisces stellium of delusion. The most famous serial killer was caught here, and for decades the city of Chicago has been plagued with extreme crime and violence. However, we also see bravery and courage here in the form of protests, walk outs, and boldness. As Saturn and Neptune are both in Aries currently, we will like see some big transformations occurring in this State's destiny.
