The Divine State of Maine

Maine was the 24th State to join the US on March 15th, 1820. This is an interesting birthdate known as the "Ides of March." Traditionally, the Ides of March carries a spooky energy filled with betrayal. This was the day Julias Ceasar was allegedly murdered in Rome. Yet, this day has also been celebrated with feasts an festivals, as it often coincides with a Full Moon. It is fascinating to note that Benedict Arnold led a failed expedition here during the Revolutionary War, and later became a traitor against the US.
We can see how this energy has translated to some of Maine's dark history. This State was the first to do federal executions, and also has some dark events that occurred on both Harbor Island and Malaga Island. The University of Maine began teaching and experimenting with Eugenics and forced sterilizations. Many deemed unworthy were sent to these islands to live in poverty. There are also many rumors regarding haunted places on this land. We would typically see some type of Scorpio placement to tie into these kind of events, but here I feel the Ides of March energy carried into this State, mixed with its Aries Stellium.
The North Node, Saturn, Moon and Mercury in Aries here represent deep wounds and karmic energy around violence, domination, aggression, etc. Interestingly, Maine is now currently going through its Saturn Return which began in May of 2025. This land requires healing from these dark events, and those who live upon this land may assist by flooding it with forgiveness, compassion and peace. Chiron has also been in Aries since 2018, so this land is facing its wounds of the past. Those that reside here must embody their inner strength, bravery and courage without allowing rage, violence or aggression to manifest. Maine completed its Nodal Return from 2023-2025, which undoubtedly sparked this land into embodying its divine blueprint as a trailblazer and pioneer. With both Saturn and Neptune now in Aries, Maine is a place that will be going through a huge cycle of healing.
What makes this even more interesting is that Maine carries the Universal 2 vibration. The 2 is all about harmony, peace, co-existence and unions with others. It is a very soft and feminine energy which has been drowned out by the separation and division this State has faced. Those doing gridwork here can tap into the energy of peace and harmony and reignite this land to its natural blueprint.
Maine also carries a water stellium, with the Sun, Jupiter, Pluto and Chiron all in Pisces! It also has its Mars in Cancer, adding greatly to this water stellium. The dichotomy here between all of this fire and water can make for an explosive consciousness. On one hand, there is the energy of the warrior-the go getters in life who know how to lead and make things happen. On the other hand, the Pisces Stellium calls for deep spiritual healing, relaxation and dealing with the karmic energies around escapism. Mars in Cancer calls for true care for the body, family and community. I find it amazing that Maine is known for its lobsters and its beautiful coastline which attracts people from all over the world. Those that are called here must find the balance between passion and compassion. With the North Node in Pisces, this land is getting divine intervention and many may be guided here.
The one outlier here in the chart is Maine's Venus in Taurus. I love this placement because its the only Earth sign here and really grounds everything in. Venus rules Taurus so this gives this land an incredible beauty, with blessings and abundance for all. Its about really enjoying the simplicity of life and bathing in the blessings. What a wonderful place for manifestation!
